1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website (https://www.cainsdecorativeconcrete.com) or contracting concrete flatwork services from Cain's Decorative Concrete, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Project Estimates & Scopes of Work
Written quotes provided by Brandon Cain are based on visual inspection of site elevations, visible surface conditions, and measured square footage. Unforeseen subsurface conditions (such as buried demolition debris, abandoned septic tanks, or unmapped private utilities) may require mutual change orders before excavation continues.
3. Utility Locates & Texas 811 Compliance
In compliance with Texas law, public utilities must be marked via Texas 811 prior to any mechanical excavation. Property owners are responsible for notifying Cain's Decorative Concrete of any privately installed underground lines, including landscape irrigation, pool plumbing, low-voltage lighting, or private electrical conduits.
4. Workmanship Warranty & Concrete Characteristics
We warrant our forming, steel rebar reinforcement placement, base compaction, and finish against defects in workmanship under standard residential usage. Please note:
- Hairline Shrinkage Cracking: Concrete naturally shrinks as it cures. Control joints are placed to encourage cracking within joints; minor hairline fissures smaller than 1/16 inch are normal and do not affect structural integrity.
- Expansive Clay Ground Movement: Extreme drought or excessive saturation can cause subgrade shifting inherent to Texas soils. Homeowners are advised to maintain consistent soil moisture around perimeter beams.
